Something has got to give.
It seems impossible to turn on the news these days without a story about a dog that was abandoned, left to die or worse. We understand that times are hard. It’s hard to find housing. The rescue crisis in the United States have left many rescue, including ours, bursting at the seams and unable to take owner surrenders. With a lack of resources and no room, many feel like they are left with no other choice than to abandon or euthanize their pets.
That is why we are getting on board with Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet. This service is a safe means of putting your pet up for adoption through a verified site and offers better resources than Facebook or other social media groups – hopefully increasing the number of pets that are successfully rehomed and reducing the number of abandoned or euthanized animals.
